Hot Rolled Black Skin Stainless Steel Wire Rods, also named Pickled Wire / Acid Washed Wire / No.1 Finish Wire / Black Wire, are processed by route: hot rolled wire rod → annealing → pickling & passivation to remove oxide scale → surface finishing, without cold drawing & brightening procedures. The surface presents dark grey / grey-black matte appearance without metallic luster, uniform rust-free surface with no obvious oxide scale. With passivation film for stable rust resistance, dimensional tolerance ±0.1mm, high hardness and great tensile strength, the raw material cost is lower than bright annealed wire. Widely used as raw material for industrial welding wire, steel structure fasteners, heavy mechanical parts, pipe connectors, wear-resistant components, construction hardware and heavy industrial equipment accessories for global manufacturing & infrastructure sectors.
